Debate Competition
This year’s ESE Symposium will feature a
Debate Competition with topics related to climate change. In partnership with Purdue’s Petticrew Debate Forum,
teams of two will defend and rebuke key topics on climate change related to economics, conflicts, alternative energy, and climate adaptation. The first 16 teams to respond will get to compete in the preliminary rounds held on Tuesday, September 19th
in Krannert Hall from 6-9 pm. The final four teams will compete the following Tuesday, September 26th from 1:30-3:30 in Stewart Center 214 ABCD. The winning team will win a cash prize of $300."
3 Minute Thesis Competition
The ESE Symposium Undergraduate, Master’s, and Ph.D. research students are invited to take part in the
3MT Competition on Tuesday, September 26, 2017. The subject of your presentation does NOT have to be directly related to the ESE Symposium theme.
Photo Competition
ESE Symposium is holding a
Photography Contest in which the top two entries will be awarded cash prizes, with the winner’s photograph being showcased at the Symposium itself.
