Important EPICS Week 14 Announcements ________________________________ Looking Ahead: * Design Reviews for Spring are Week 15 (April 16-19) * Design Documents are due this week (April 8-12) * EPICS Annual Awards Ceremony will be April 15 at 4pm - Save the Date! ________________________________ Delivering this Semester? If your team plans to deliver your project this semester, be sure to complete the EPICS delivery checklist. This includes projects that have final deliverables of non-tangible products (project plans, formal recommendations, etc). Find more information on the delivery process at https://engineering.purdue.edu/EPICS/teams/team-documents/project-delivery. Remember, without a checklist, you will not receive an EPICS delivery t-shirt. ________________________________ Miller and Chevron Scholarships - Due May 1 Two scholarship opportunities are available and are exclusive to EPICS students that will be returning for the fall semester. The Miller scholarship is available to any student and is valued at $1,000, and the Chevron scholarship is open to any EPICS student but with preference to those with interest in careers in the energy industry and is valued at $2,000. The attached Scholarship application may be used for either scholarship. ________________________________ Interested in Becoming an EPICS Ambassador? EPICS Ambassadors are the face of EPICS for recruiting across the university and outreach to external partners and donors. Ambassadors receive PDH credits for the work they do for the program. See the attached application if interested. ________________________________ Inspire to Innovate 2019 - April 7 Interested in showcasing your project to kids in the community? The DKC EPICs team is co-hosting the 3rd annual Inspire to Innovate in partnership with The Anvil and Deaf Kids Code. This is a free interactive event that is targeted to get kids including those with disabilities interested in STEM. We are looking to have EPICs teams that would like to showcase their project at an interactive booth for the event on Sunday April 7th from 2-5pm at The Anvil.
