Dear EPICS student,

As the midsemester design review week is almost done, I hope your EPICS experience (so far) has been inspiring and educational.  I also hope that you have grown professionally.

A decision to make – by now, you should have built a relationship with your project partner(s) and can empathize with their needs to deliver the best and safest product your team can design given the known and foreseeable constraints.  As your team enters the second half of the semester and evaluate what is left to do, please consider:

·        If delivery is achievable: would you put the effort to complete and deliver this semester a safe, cost-effective, and sustainable solution suitable for your partner?  If so, begin by reviewing the project delivery process.

·        If more time is needed: would you hand your project to inexperienced students next semester?  Would you instead join another semester to help your partner get that suitable solution sooner?  Pre-registration is now open.

How does EPICS counts? – EPICS works best with students from all majors and years.  You can take EPICS multiple semesters and count it for credit.

Feel free to reach out if you have any questions.

Thanks,
