Greetings EPICS Students,
Have you considered helping out with hurricane relief efforts in the Caribbean, but aren’t sure how to get involved?
Do you enjoy hackathon-style design events?
Do you hate watching me lecture on YouTube to get your PDHs?
Consider taking part in Design Storm, a one-day design competition to generate solutions for disaster relief and preparedness in the Caribbean. This competition, open to all Purdue students, will challenge teams of up to 5 students to create concepts
and prototypes for cooking, pumping water, storing food and medicine, and providing communications in the wake of a major natural disaster. These concepts will be further developed throughout the semester by the new Natural Disaster Preparedness EPICS team.
PDHs will be awarded to all participating EPICS students and prizes will be award to the best designs in several categories.
