Undergrad TA play an essential role in supporting the EPICS lab and projects.  They:

·         Allow the lab to operate evenings and weekends.

·         Are alert to safety issues in the lab.

·         Have housekeeping and maintenance responsibilities.

·         Help replenishing common materials for the lab.

·         Manage the 3D printing queue.

·         May help with selection of materials, software, and tools.

 

The lab has at least 1 UGTA vacancy for the next semester.  The usual load is 10 hours per week to be fulfilled during evenings and weekends.  The ideal candidate:

·         Is responsible and dependable (e.g., punctual, requires minimum supervision).

·         Is familiar with the EPICS lab spaces (e.g., has been in EPICS for multiple semesters).

·         Plan to work multiple semesters (e.g., is a sophomore or junior).

·         Has experience with the tools available in the lab (e.g., wood working, hand assembly, soldering).

·         Is fine performing general cleaning, organizing, and following task schedules.
