Congratulations to all of you who had a successful Design Review.  As you may have experienced, work space and storage are always an issue for a program like EPICS, where we are always trying to expand the impact you have in the local and broader community, while you learn by doing.

During each semester break, the lab tries to clean, reorganize, and complete safety audits.  Before we reach Spring Break, please:

• Make sure your projects are well identified, including team’s name and current semester.  Items that are not identified may be dismantled or discarded to open up space.
• Make sure to use your locker space wisely.  Don’t hold stuff that the team is not going to use, and bring into the locker, the smaller prototypes or parts the team is using.  Do not leave them around the lab adding to the clutter.
• Do not keep every prototype.  As the project progresses, once test and demonstrations are done, take pictures and discard what is functionally unsafe, unstable, unfeasible or no longer needed.  Many items left break when they are moved or become trip hazards in the lab.
