Spain - Study Abroad Opportunity Maymester 2024

Enjoy Mediterranean Lifestyle as locals do, to see where they work, shop, eat, relax and have fun. Experience the most interesting places in Valencia and surroundings. For the May semester in 2024, a three-unit course will offer to students to learn how agri-food companies operate in Spain. The program shows how product performance, innovation and entrepreneurship are pursued from its agricultural practices, process technology and engineering, as well as product considerations based on quality, end-user, consumer, economics and policies. Visits to various industries involve the use of unit operations and environmental conditions during the handling of food materials towards an end-product. The main goal of the visit to Valencia is to bridge diversity across scales disciplines such as engineering, agricultural, economic, technical, cultural and social aspects that lead the manufacturing field and readiness prior to an effective startup or own professional development. Valencia is well-valued for great location for agriculture, food, processing and rich culture. College of Engineering and College of Agriculture from both at PU and UPV have strong reputation.
