Our next EMBRIO seminar, Monday, January 27
th 3-4pm EST will be presented by Prof. Scott Howard, Electrical Engineering, Notre Dame University. The
Howard Research Group
is a biomedical photonics research group that focuses on how the interaction of photons and tissue can be used to aid diagnosis and fundamental research in biological fields. The remaining dates in spring are dedicated to Thrust leaders presenting research
seminars and updates from their collaborative EMBRIO projects.

SURF Program!
Reminder to faculty at Purdue (and Partners - please identify any undergrads at your university you might want to send to Purdue to work in EMBRIO labs for the summer):
Submit your EMBRIO project idea now to take advantage of the EMBRIO-SURF collaboration to bring excellent undergraduate students into your lab this summer. EMBRIO Institute will cover the faculty mentor portion, along with the $1000 housing requirement
for external students. Please see the SURF program project submittal page linked above for details, and make sure to check the EMBRIO Institute box. Kay Kobak, SURF Asst. Dir., can help with any programmatic, student matching, or project submission questions:
