Purdue Alert system test - tomorrow
Hello everyone, I just wanted to let you know that Purdue University will test its emergency notification system, including sirens, at 10 a.m. tomorrow, Thursday, January 14. The alert system includes campus-wide emailing, text messaging, Twitter, information posted to the Campus Status page, All Hazards Outdoor Siren activation, Alertus beacons installed in large classrooms, desktop popup alerts on most classroom and lab computers, and Boiler TV emergency alert system activation. No action is required, as this is just a test. In case of inclement weather conditions, the siren test will be cancelled. To register your cell phone to receive text messages in case of an emergency, or to update your phone number and text message preferences, please follow the link: http://www.purdue.edu/securepurdue/ and click the "Change my emergency contact number" section at the bottom of the page.
