Purdue emergency notification system - testing today
Good morning, This is a reminder that Purdue University will test its emergency notification system, including sirens, at 10 a.m. today, Thursday (Sept. 28). The alert system includes campus-wide emailing, text messaging, Twitter, information posted to the Campus Status page, All Hazards Outdoor Siren activation, Alertus beacons installed in large classrooms, desktop popup alerts on most classroom and lab computers, approximately 185 digital signs, and Boiler TV emergency alert system activation. The alert posted to the Campus Status page will state: "This is the semi-annual TEST of the Purdue emergency warning notification system. This test simulates a level 1 incident. No action is necessary." Therefore, no action is needed on our side, but I suggest you take a few moments to review the emergency procedures below: [cid:image002.jpg@01D3383D.ED577A50] Should you have any questions, please let me know.
