To the College of Engineering Faculty, Staff, and Students –
As the Thanksgiving break approaches and amid heightened political tensions, I want to take the opportunity to express some hopes for the College of Engineering.
I hope that all members of the College of Engineering community can and will reflect values that are central to the College and central to Purdue: values that include integrity, respect, diversity, and inclusion.
I hope that we will live by these values in our words and in our actions.
I hope that when we disagree, we will do so with respect.
I hope that we can honor different perspectives, learn from each other, and celebrate our differences.
I hope that we will, together, create a respectful, welcoming climate that nurtures all of us.
And I believe that we can do this.
My warmest regards,
Leah
