In order to assist ChE group safety officers to fulfill their duties in this role, the ChE Safety Committee developed two documents to clarify the responsibilities of safety officers and give some guidelines on items to be covered during safety training of new researchers. These documents are now posted on our website https://engineering.purdue.edu/ChE/aboutus/safety under the “Laboratory Safety Requirements” heading, and are also attached to this email as a PDF. Please use them, and refer to them whenever necessary.
