Hello everyone,

Many of you may know that over the weekend of February 23-25 there was a flooding that affected two labs in our building: FRNY 2153 and FRNY 1181. Although not all flooding events are considered safety incidents, in this particular case the flooding may have caused a contamination of benchtop, and nearby surfaces, including flooring, with biohazardous material type I.

Please find attached a document that gives details of this incident, actions taken to prevent similar incidents, and most importantly some key learnings from this event. Please share the lessons learned with people who might benefit from this information.
