Hello Everyone,

The Chemical Engineering Safety Committee is happy to invite nominations for the 2020 ChE Excellence in Safety Award. Please find attached the nomination form, award description and details on eligibility and selection criteria.

Nomination Process: Any ChE faculty member, staff, graduate or undergraduate student performing research can nominate any eligible ChE graduate student. A nominator can support only one candidate. Please submit your nominations to Gabriela Nagy at nagyg@purdue.edu, by 5 pm on Thursday, April 30, 2020. Nominations should not exceed 250 words and should include specific examples.

Due Date for nominations: April 30, 2020, with the award to be presented virtually in May, or at a later date(TBD) during a formal recognition event organized by the School.

Selection: The selection will be made by the ChE Excellence in Safety Award Committee, and communicated to all School employees and students.

I am sorry that the deadline for submission of nominations is so close, but I hope you will find the time to nominate graduate students for this award; the nomination process is not very time consuming, as it only requires a short nomination statement of up to 250 words, with examples, and no support letters from anyone else.
