Hello Everyone!

It is now time to complete the online Annual Safety Refresher Training, which is required for all ChE faculty, staff, graduate students, post-doctoral research associates and visiting researchers/scholars, and then log the completion of training. You can access the training material and take the quiz on any device linked to the internet, including mobile devices. This training is also required for our School’s ISP recertification with REM.

Please follow the instructions below and complete this safety refresher training by the end of Monday, February 28, 2022.

Instructions:

1. Access the ChE safety website https://engineering.purdue.edu/ChE/aboutus/safety  and check the information/instructions under Training/ChE Annual Safety Refresher Training  
• Complete the ChE specific Annual Safety Refresher Training module (including the quiz) relevant for your role in the School and save a PDF copy of the email received upon completion of training (you will need to log in with your Purdue credentials to access the materials)
• Complete the Lab Specific Chemical Hygiene Plan (CHP) training by reviewing your lab’s CHP and all relevant SOPs (if applicable).

ØComplete the Lab Specific CHP Certification (page 87 of the Purdue CHP) and save a PDF copy

2. Complete “Training sign-in sheet” to log your training (everyone needs to log the completion of training)  

Log your training after you complete all the steps above; you will need the following documents:

• PDF copy of the email received upon completion of ChE specific Annual Safety Refresher Training
• Completed Lab Specific CHP Certification for the lab(s) you work in (if applicable)

3. You will receive an email confirming the completion of the 2022 Annual Safety Refresher Training. Keep this email safe, for your records.

Please complete the ChE mandatory safety refresher training and log the completion of training by the end of Monday, February 28, 2022.
