Hello Everyone,
Two of the current graduate student members of the ChE safety committee (Melissa Marsing and Dharini Varadharajan) have served for nearly two years on the safety committee and I want to take this opportunity and thank them for all their
help and input as committee members; they have been very active and valuable members of our committee. I also want to thank Catherine Vincent for her service and contributions; Catherine represented the GSO on the safety committee for 18 months. We are looking
forward to working with the next GSO safety officer once results of GSO elections are announced.
The ChE Safety Committee has now two (2) openings for graduate students. We are looking for enthusiastic, motivated and safety oriented graduate students to join our active safety committee.
An ideal candidate is someone who still has to complete about 3 years of graduate studies and who performs research in a lab. Typically, graduate students serve on the ChE Safety Committee for a period of
two years. We would like the new members to join us this summer (July 2024), as trainees, and then with full responsibilities from August 2024.
