18th Annual Celebration of Graduate Teaching Excellence
Please join me in congratulating Emre Gencer for receiving the 2016 Graduate School's Excellence in Teaching Award. This is Purdue University's highest award in recognition of graduate student teachers! Each college submits two nominations to the grad school and Emre was chosen as the winner from all nominations!!! Students are only eligible if they have won the Teaching Academy award in the past. I would also like to congratulate Claire Kilmer for winning the Teaching Academy Graduate Teaching award for Chemical Engineering. Claire will be eligible to be nominated for the Graduate School Excellence in Teaching Award in the future. Claire was among the top ranked Graduate Teaching Assistants as surveyed by ChE undergraduate students and was then selected by the Graduate Awards Committee as the nominee for the School of Chemical Engineering We obviously have great students in ChE!!!
