A test of the system will be conducted between 1-4 p.m. Friday, November 4. The university has sirens at Earhart Hall, Hawkins Hall, the Heine Pharmacy Building, Purdue Village, Hilltop Apartments, the Grand Prix race track and the Physical Facilities Service Building. Friday's test is to ensure the sirens are operable and will include an activation of sirens that could last up to 30 seconds and may be noticeable on campus. However, the potential for a full, three-minute siren activation is possible. Siren system checkout and verification may require multiple tests during the time frame. If there is inclement weather, the test will be cancelled. Please disregard any siren activation during this time period; no action is necessary. If you have any questions, please contact the Emergency Preparedness Office at 4-0446.
