FYI......................... From: Boland, Stephanie E [mailto:seboland@purdue.edu] Sent: Tuesday, December 21, 2010 9:47 AM Subject: Pedestrians and drivers urged to use caution on icy sidewalks and roads Communications Announcement Purdue University - Physical Facilities TO: Building Deputies [Please distribute.] FR: Grounds Department DA: Tuesday, December 21, 2010 RE: Pedestrians and drivers urged to use caution on icy sidewalks and roads Due to snowy and freezing rains, many roads, sidewalks, and parking lots around campus have become icy. The Grounds Department has been working to apply an ice-reducing brine solution to roadways and remove snow. Sidewalks have been cleared of snow in most areas, however the freezing rain is causing extremely slick conditions that are difficult to remedy. Everyone is urged to use caution and proceed slowly, whether walking or driving, in these conditions. If you have questions or would like to report a treacherous area, please contact Grounds at 4-3087.
