Dear Colleagues, I had hoped to return to West Lafayette this past weekend. The current treatment cycle (#3) has, however, been tough on me (low platelet counts, fatigue and other side effects) but I am better now. A new cycle (#4), with the drug cocktail mix changed to minimize side effects seen in the current cycle, begins tomorrow. If all goes well with the new cycle, we should return to West Lafayette in early June. Future maintenance cycles, every 3 weeks, will be continued in Lafayette under supervision of my local oncologist (Dr. Wael Harb), with return to Scottsdale every 2 months for CT scans and oncologist team follow-ops. Karen and I look forward to our return home! With best wishes, Arvind Varma R. Games Slayter Distinguished Professor Charles D.
