Chemical Engineering - Let's Live United!
Hello ChE faculty and staff! I am your United Way representative for this year's campaign and I wanted to share some vital information. United Way of Greater Lafayette has one mission; mobilize the community to improve lives! The Cradle to Career Commitment focuses on fighting for the health, education, and financial stability for EVERYONE in the community. Programs like Read to Succeed and Kindergarten Countdown Camp help young learners grow and provides the potential to be their best selves possible. United Way agencies like Food Finders Food Bank and Lafayette Transitional Housing provide resources to meet the basic needs of those less fortunate, because everyone deserves dignity and respect. It is so easy to get involved and be the change in Greater Lafayette! In 2018, Purdue and PRF employees gave over $750,000, and I know we can reach or exceed this amount in 2019. Please visit purdue.edu/unitedway today to make your pledge. All respondents (even if you respond as "I don't wish to give") will receive this year's poster, featuring the new Purdue gateway arch! [cid:image002.jpg@01D56C8A.38C0BE20] In addition to monetary donations, local United Way agencies are always in need of volunteers! There is no better way to feel connected with your community than giving some of your time to help your friends and neighbors.
