Dear All, As many of you have likely already heard, I wanted to provide an update to you all that due to personal and family reasons Elizabeth Losey tendered her resignation and completed her two week notice last week. It is rather an unfortunate circumstance and I know she would of have preferred to stay as part of our community but it was a necessary move for herself and her family during this pandemic, her presence as part of our team will be missed. During those two weeks we fully completed transitioning all her duties and all faculty affected have been reassigned administrative support. Although Liz had external personal reasons for moving, University policy regarding filling the position is for the moment not allowing us to hire due to the university-wide hiring freeze implemented during this pandemic. I would like to emphasize that although the University has this policy in place due to financial restrictions, our School itself is in a strong financial position and will be able to fill said position as soon as the University policy is lifted. Until then, through means of a strong ChE team we have built, we shall adapt and do our best to provide smooth support to all the ChE community.
