FW: 25th Annual Research Symposium
Hello everyone! The 25th Annual Graduate Research Symposium is tomorrow! I just had a couple of last minute reminders related to the event. - Our keynote speaker is Dr. Godwin Tongo, from BP Petrochemicals Technology. His bio is attached, and the abstract is below for his talk, "Accurate Physical Properties in Process Design." The talk will take place in FRNY G140 from 10 am to 11 am. All are welcome. Reliable physical properties are the foundation of designs of chemical plants. Physical properties matter and getting accurate data and models is important. Poor choices of physical property data can cost millions and poor physical property model selection can have an enormous effect on simulation results especially for distillation. Some of the sources for physical properties will be explored including DIPPr. - I have attached the overall schedule for the day. Please note that the mixer and banquet are invite only, and the lunch is only for those involved in the Symposium or told otherwise. - The full abstract book is available at the following link, and contains a more detailed schedule of everyone's talks and the poster session layout. https://engineering.purdue.edu/~gso/documents/Symposium2016/2016%20Symposium... - Dress for the event is business casual. Hope to see you all tomorrow. Please let me know if you have any questions! Scott McClary President, 2016-2017 [cid:image001.jpg@01D1F871.E6251D80]
