Hello Everyone,

I wanted to update you on the building evacuation we just had today. The activation of the fire alarm was triggered by the fluctuations in the water pressure, which affected the well-functioning of the water sprinklers in the building. Yesterday evening, many buildings on campus (FRNY was one of them) were evacuated due to the fire alarm being activated  because of the same reason, and today two additional buildings were in the same situation.

This was a false alarm and until the water pressure is stabilized, we can expect other similar evacuations. Please take the fire alarm seriously and evacuate the building in case the alarm is activated again.

Thank you for your commitment to safety!

Gabriela
