Good afternoon,

This only concerns occupants of the original part of Forney Hall.

Starting this week and until January 2016, a group of technicians from Siemens will work to replace obsolete controllers and thermostats with direct digital controllers. Currently, the old building has a random collection of old and new controllers; the scope is to replace only the old ones.

This project is funded by the Energy Group within Physical Facilities with the goal to realize energy savings and enable better control of the temperature in the affected areas.

You will see several people accessing labs, offices and classrooms in the old part of the building; they are not Purdue employees but associated with Purdue and have been performing this work on campus for years. Nick and Jeff are familiar with the project; if you see something unusual please contact them first at frnybldg@purdue.edu .

There should be no electricity shut downs related to this project, but there could be an occasional 1-2 hour stop in the air flow.

Regards,

Cristina
