Good afternoon, everyone,

 

If you didn’t complete the “ChE Safety training required for a safe return to FRNY” yet, please complete all the applicable modules and log the completion of training by next week on  Friday, July 10, 2020. This training is required for everyone in our School, including faculty, staff, graduate students, postdocs, visitor scholars, etc., and is a required element for our ISP Annual Recertification with REM.

By now, everyone should have completed the required “Covid-19 on-site specific safety training” required by the University (due date for completion was today, July1), thus part of the required ChE safety training is already completed.

 

To complete the ChE required safety training for safe return to campus, please do the following:

  1. Visit the ChE safety website (https://engineering.purdue.edu/ChE/aboutus/safety) and locate the “ChE Safety Training Required for a Safe Return to Forney” heading under “Training”
  2. Complete all the applicable steps. Faculty with lab space will need to complete the “Lab specific CHP training” and submit a signed Lab Specific CHP Certification for their labs. The same applies to all researchers working in a lab
  3. Once all applicable training modules are completed, log your training by completing the “Training sign-in sheet” located immediately after the training modules. To log your training, you will need the following documents:
    1. PDF copy of the email received upon completion of ChE specific Annual Safety Refresher Training
    2. Completed Lab Specific CHP Certification for the lab(s) you work in (if applicable)

 

Please complete this required training by next week on Friday (July 10, 2020), even if you don’t return to campus yet. As I mentioned, it is a required part of our ISP Recertification with REM.
