Employees Prepare for SuccessFactors Deployment
As you know, we are upgrading to SuccessFactors January 1. SuccessFactors is the new human capital management system that we will use for timekeeping, time off requests,
recruitment and new hire processes, performance appraisals and the merit process.
What does that mean to you?
On (and not before) January 2, you will be able to access the Employee Launchpad located on the
OneCampus Portal to access SuccessFactors. A BoilerKey is required. If you do not currently have a BoilerKey, follow the
directions provided by Secure Purdue or visit
https://purdue.edu/boilerkey. Contact your local computer support or help desk for further assistance.
Employee Self-Service Information
Through the Employee Profile, you will be able to update your personal information, such as address, education or bank details and view pay statements.
Learn more about navigating SuccessFactors and the employee profile by viewing the
cheat sheet (a single-page document),
video or
quick reference guide.
Time Off
All benefits-eligible employees will access the Time Off tile within SuccessFactors to request leaves of absence. Watch a quick
video or follow a
Quick Reference Guide (QRG) to learn more about requesting time off.
As outlined in the
Pay Practices for 2018 Winter Recess, all non-exempt benefits-eligible employees will use ‘Other Leave With Pay’ to record the Winter Recess days as paid. You will have access to the Time Off tile
within SuccessFactors on January 2. The leave request for winter recess days should be completed by the end of the payroll period, January 6.
Timekeeping
All non-exempt employees will utilize SuccessFactors Timesheets or the Webclock application to document time. If you do not know which timekeeping method your area will use, please speak with your supervisor, contact your business office or email
bpr@purdue.edu. The three timekeeping methods are:
-
Negative Time Profile
automatically updates and processes the timesheet based on planned work schedule.
-
Employee does not access SuccessFactors to document time.
-
Employee requests time off through SuccessFactors (time off tile) and not the timesheet.
-
Employee documents overtime or other exception to timesheet, when applicable. Employee will need to submit timesheet; manager will review and approve.
-
A
video,
cheat sheet and
quick reference guide are available for employees. Supervisors also have a
video and
quick reference guide.
-
Positive Recording Profile requires employee to access the timesheet through SuccessFactors to record time.
-
Employee records number of hours worked and submits the timesheet weekly. Supervisors review and approve timesheets.
-
