Hello Everyone,

 

With a slight delay, I would like to share with you a recent safety accident that occurred in a chemistry lab at the University of Minnesota on Tuesday, June 17, when an explosion injured a graduate student who was synthesizing trimethylsilyl azide. The student suffered injuries to his arm and side, and needed surgery to deal with glass shards. He also injured an eardrum. Please follow the link below to read more about this accident.
