RE: Purdue Waterworks to Flush Potable Water System Beginning April 17

The Purdue University Waterworks will flush the potable water system on campus starting Tuesday, April 17, 2012, continuing until completed. The process will take place from approximately 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day. As a result of the flushing, water may be discolored for a short period of time. However, this will not affect the water quality. To remove the discolored water, simply open a faucet for a few moments until the water runs clear.

Please be careful when driving through or around spraying or standing water and please refrain from parking next to or across from fire hydrants. If you have any questions, please contact Chris Marks, Purdue Waterworks/Wastewater Supervisor, at 496-2705.
