Dear all,
As a member of the Family Friendly Purdue Committee, I would like to share a message about an event that you, or someone you may know, might be interested in participating:
The Purdue Student Union Board will be having Books and Chocolate Milk on
Saturday March 28th and the students are looking for Purdue faculty, staff, students or community members to read books to the children. Here is a message to explain:
My name is Emily Bonini, I am the Director of Traditional Events for Purdue Student Union Board. We are currently planning our Books and Chocolate Milk event. This event is a spin-off of our Books and Coffee
series, geared towards children. We select five children’s books for the event, provide cookies and milk, as well as crafts themed towards the books at the event. We are currently looking for three more readers for this year’s event to read one of our selected
books to the attending children throughout the event. We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic and enjoys spending time with children. If someone from your organization is interested in reading for the event, they would need to be available on Saturday,
March 28th, from 10:00-11:30 am. If there is anyone in your organization who you think would enjoy volunteering for this, or if you have any suggestions for other people or groups who would be interested, please let me know at your earliest convenience.
