ChE Faculty, Staff and Students,

On August 18, the ChE Safety Committee met with representatives from REM to review our safety program.  We reviewed:

· safety committee activities

· safety communication

· self audits and safety committee inspections – findings and resolution of deficiencies

· safety training

· common and recurrent ChE safety issues and challenges

· ChE Emergency Preparedness.

REM also toured four research areas in Forney. 

REM will be recommending that ChE be re-indemnified by Purdue for another year.  This recommendation is a result of our continued commitment to safety. Look for a future e-mail summarizing the results of our recent audits and inspections.
