Dear Colleagues,

We have now developed a transition plan for Veronica.  She will stay full time in ChE through next Friday (September 7) and spend the following 2 weeks half-time with us and in her new position.  She plans to complete most of the important tasks before leaving our School and will work closely in particular with Dave Corti and Sandy Hendryx to ensure that the transition is smooth.

We have already begun the steps to find a new person for her position.

Best,

Arvind

Dear Colleagues,

Veronica Schirm has done an outstanding job as Undergraduate Program Administrator for our School ever since she joined in August 2005.  With great regret at our loss but also great joy for her opportunity, I am writing to inform that she has accepted a position as advisor for the prestigious scholarships program in Purdue’s new Honors College.  In this role, she will have the opportunity to advance further professionally.

Veronica Schirm has done a superb job in her position, working late hours when needed, which was frequently.  She also always did her work with a smile, bringing enormous energy and enthusiasm to all her tasks.

She will be with us for several more weeks – we are still developing a transition plan with her but, because there are several loose ends she needs to tie up with multiple faculty members, I am writing to inform you right away.

Please join me in thanking Veronica for her more than seven years of superb service to our School and our students, and wish her the very best for the future.

Best,

Arvind
