ChE Faculty, Staff and Graduate Students,
I want to share a frank article on the status of laboratory safety in academic labs (attached). Whether you agree or disagree with the article, we all have a responsibility to ensure that everyone working in chemical engineering goes home in the same condition that they arrived every day.
Our goal should be no accidents, no injuries and no releases/spills in chemical engineering laboratories and offices during 2011.
