RE: Free Red Oak Saplings Available from Purdue Grounds Department
Purdue's Grounds Department has extra Red Oak saplings available following yesterday’s Earth Day event. The saplings were donated by the Jasper-Pulaski State Nursery.
Five saplings per person will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Friday, April 22. Please stop by the new Grounds Maintenance Facility at 695 S. Russell Street to pick up the saplings. For directions, please see the map below.
The Purdue Grounds Department was instrumental in helping the University achieve and maintain its Tree Campus USA status. The Tree Campus USA designation is awarded by the Arbor Day Foundation for dedication to campus forestry management and environmental stewardship.
