Hello everyone,

In preparation for the ISP recertification with EHS/REM in March, members of the ChE Safety Committee will conduct safety inspections of ALL labs and offices, starting Monday, February 20, 2023. We will use the forms in the attached Excel workbook (form on the first tab for labs, form on the second tab for offices). If you have a sensitive experiment running and your lab can’t be inspected now, please place a clearly visible note on the entrance door to the lab, and the inspection team will respect that.

Reports of the inspections will be sent to PIs and safety officers (for labs) and to occupants of labs (if needed). Any identified deficiencies will need to be corrected within the time specified on the forms. Instructions on how to follow up regarding correction of deficiencies will be communicated when the results of the safety inspections are shared.
