Mentoring and Summer Research (Freshman – Juniors):
1. Early Discovery Mentoring Circles -
This Graduate School mentoring for freshman and sophomore students (at least 2+ years remaining in bachelor's degree) will help you build your professional network and get the insider scoop about graduate school through online mentoring circles. Discover whether
you might be interested in research and get real world advice about whether graduate school is your next step!
2. Purdue Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship (SURF)
SURF is a 10-week-long paid research opportunity for undergraduates enrolled in US universities.
Also check out the
Pathways
Scholars cohort of SURF, if you are interested in graduate school and a PhD.
Selected Pathways Scholars receive $10k, which includes summer stipend ($6500) and is expected to cover the cost of housing ($2500 summer housing allowance) and travel (up to
$1000 travel reimbursement).
3. Webinar: Grad School 101: Why Consider Graduate School?
– Tuesday December 3rd, 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. eastern. Think a PhD is just for future faculty? Think again! This
session demystifies what it takes to be and become a graduate student (MS and PhD), as well as how you can gain more experience to be competitive through Summer Research.

4. Interested in Semiconductors? Join STARS (Summer Training on Awareness and Readiness for Semiconductors)
at Purdue! Get paid to learn about semiconductors and grow your semiconductor training. Geared towards freshman and sophomore students but all undergraduate student ages/majors welcome to apply.
