Did you know there are other ways to practice good mental health hygiene without setting up a CAPS appointment? For students who aren't ready to try talk therapy, this option may provide you some tools to reduce anxiety and stress in a different way.

 

See below for information on a new mental health resource opportunity coming up April 4-6 and April 11-13. Don't forget to take good care of yourself!

SKY Happiness Retreat is a total well-being training offered to thousands of university students, faculty, and staff across the country. A recent study at Yale University found that SKY Happiness Retreat significantly reduces stress, depression, and has a long-lasting impact on mental health, mindfulness, positive emotion and social connectedness. The SKY Happiness Retreat introduces SKY Meditation, an evidence-based meditation practice integrated with breath work that can significantly increase one's well-being and calmness and significantly reduces anxiety and stress markers. The course features interactive group processes, experiential learning, emotional intelligence training, breath-work, yoga, and evidence-based meditation. It's a place to connect with yourself, destress, and most importantly, have fun.

 

We're happy to share that the SKY Happiness Retreat is fully funded for Purdue undergrad students, and partially funded for graduate students. Partial funding is also available for University staff/faculty. Availability is first-come-first serve, by registration only and requires attendance to all sessions. Limited spots are available.

Location: On-Campus (to be announced)

We have two retreats you can choose from:

Option A: April 4th-6th (Friday - Sunday)

Option B: April 11th-13rd (Friday - Sunday)

Timings:
    - Friday: 6.00 pm to 9.00 pm
    - Saturday & Sunday: 1 pm - 4:30 pm
