Dear Faulty and Staff,
I am writing to solicit nominations for the Civil Engineering Outstanding Undergraduate Senior Award for the academic school year 2025-2026. Faculty and
staff are eligible to nominate students.
A list of eligible students is listed below (cumulative GPA above a 3.0 and either Dec or May/August Candidates).
The CE Outstanding Undergraduate Senior is selected according to the following criteria
(listed in order of importance):
- Service to Purdue (to the College of
Engineering or the university as a whole)
- Service to Community (volunteer work,
community projects, etc.)
- Service Character (willingness to serve,
positive attitude, helpful and enjoyable)
- Organizational Involvement (student
organizations and clubs, honor societies and organizations, departmental organizations, etc.)
- Technical Achievements (patents, publications,
research work, technical awards, coops/ internships, etc.)
- Academic Achievements (honors, awards,
teaching assistant, etc.)
Please take the time to nominate a student who you believe is deserving of this award by sending an e-mail to me. Please include a short explanation of
your nomination referencing one or two of the 6 criteria listed above. If you have a resume feel free to include it as well or we can solicit that on your behalf.
Deadline for submitting a nomination is Monday, March 23, 2026.
Two awards will be given.
