Open to all Purdue University faculty and staff, this panel will provide insights into the diverse caregiving challenges faced by faculty, post docs, and graduate students. Building on the National Academy’s
2024 report,
Supporting Family Caregivers in STEMM: A Call to Action, this event will explore innovative strategies for fostering more inclusive academic environments. Participants will:

Hear from experts who share practical examples and strategies for creating supportive environments particularly in engineering, science, and technology fields.

Engage in structured, small group discussions led by thought leaders.
The proceedings of the event and the NAS report will serve as support for Purdue’s leaders in engineering, science, and technology to come together, collaborate, and lead the transformation of caregiving
support across the university.
Space is limited. Registration required. Parking validated for registered participants in lot south of Convergence on District Blvd.
PPRI will host the event along with Dr. Ellen Kossek, PPRI faculty affiliate and Basil S. Turner Distinguished Professor of Management Emerita. Purdue Polytechnic, College of Engineering, College of Science,
and the Susan Bulkeley Butler Center for Leadership Excellence will co-host, with additional support from Purdue Center for Families, Purdue Center for Working Well, Women’s Global Health Institute, and the Center for Working Well.
