Dear Civil and Construction Engineering colleagues,
Since it has been about one month since my last message to all of you, my
email here is to provide a quick update about the Civil and Construction Engineering head search.
Jett Pihakis and his team at Russell Reynolds have taken suggestions you have provided for candidates—along with potential candidates they believed are highly qualified individuals—and contacted them to discuss the position and to request application information
from them.
Beginning on February 27, the search committee has been reviewing the submitted information from top candidates and providing our respective interest in interviewing those candidates. We have also reviewed application packages from candidates that arrived
after February 27. Once the input from the search committee members about the desire to interview candidates is compiled, the search committee plans to hold initial phone / web meeting interviews with the candidates that the committee is most interested in
interviewing on April 7 and 8.
After those initial interviews, we intend to host finalists for on-campus interviews between April 20 and May 1. This schedule matches the schedule used for the successful search for the Materials Engineering head last year.
As the search committee moves through these next steps and when appropriate, I will provide additional updates to everyone.
Regards,
Bill Crossley
