The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) is very excited to tell you that we are offering a scholarship to students at Purdue University.
INDOT’s Engineering Scholarship is available to Civil Engineering graduate and undergraduate students seeking
a career with INDOT, who are enrolled full-time at an Accreditation Board of Engineering and Technology (ABET) accredited Indiana college or university. Students must possess a cumulative grade point average of 2.8 on a 4.0 scale. The program will be available
to students for a maximum of 5 academic years. The maximum amount of the scholarship for one year is $6,250.00 or $3,125.00 per semester.
Students who receive the scholarship will intern at INDOT during summer breaks. In addition, students who receive the scholarship must agree to work full-time for INDOT immediately after graduation for a period of at least 1 calendar year
for each full academic school year they have received a scholarship and/or for a period of at least 6 months for each semester they have received a scholarship. For example, if a student received the scholarship for 2 academic school years, they would be required
to work for INDOT for 2 calendar years post-graduation.
INDOT’s Engineering Scholarship provides students with the opportunity to explore various career paths at INDOT, while also helping pay for their degree. In addition, students will be able to continue building a network of contacts that
may be useful in their careers as Civil Engineers.
