We hope you have been enjoying the new semester so far.

CEGSAC has some vacant positions on the executive board, and graduate students in CCE are eligible and invited to join. Being a part of the CEGSAC team offers a unique opportunity to connect with new people, experience diverse activities, and organize events for CCE graduate students!

The open positions and the duties are listed below:

Vice President

• Serve as President if the position becomes vacant or the President is absent.
• Represents CEGSAC in external affairs if the President cannot attend.
• Represents Civil Engineering in external affairs that the Civil Engineering Senator cannot participate.

Cultural & Community Outreach Committee Co-chairs

• Organize and implement outreach events within the local community.
• Educate the Civil Engineering community about cultural celebrations and events.
• Invite students and faculty to attend seasonal social activities.

Office of Public Relations member

• Maintain the website and the social media accounts.
• Communicating events and important information through social media and the website.
• Issue CEGSAC newsletters and editorial activities for the newsletter.

Professional Development Committee Co-chair

• Foster relationships between alums and students.
• Create networking and soft skill development opportunities between graduate students and professionals.
• Develop workshops to help students succeed academically in graduate school.
• List of events (minimum) - Emerging Leaders talk, Research Bytes, CE Research Symposium.

Sports, Health & Wellness Committee Co-chair

• Organize intramural teams & recreational sporting activities.
• Create activities to promote mental and physical health.
• Plan sports-related events for the graduate Civil Engineering community.
• List of events (minimum) - Ice-Skating, Escape Room, Yoga / Zumba, Bowling.
