I am writing to solicit nominations for the Spring 2026 CCE Graduate Student Engagement Award. This award was previously named the Outstanding Grad Student Award, but we have adjusted the title to reflect the “service” intent
of the award.
All CCE Engineering MSCE and PhD students graduating in Spring 2026 are eligible for this award, list is at the bottom of this message.
The CCE Graduate Student Engagement Award is selected according to the following criteria (listed in order of importance):
. Service to Purdue (to the College of Engineering or the university as a whole)
. Service to Community (volunteer work, community projects, etc.)
. Service Character (willingness to serve, positive attitude, helpful and enjoyable)
. Organizational Involvement (student organizations and clubs, honor societies and organizations, departmental organizations, etc.)
. Technical Achievements (patents, publications, research work, technical awards, coops/ internships, etc.)
. Academic Achievements (honors, awards, teaching assistant, etc.)
Please take the time to nominate a student who you believe is deserving of this award, reflecting the students service activities, by sending an e-mail to me.
Please include a nomination letter, the student’s resume and Purdue transcripts (as one pdf). If you have questions about potential nominees please feel free to contact me. The deadline for nominations is 8:00 am March 23, 2026. We
will accept one nomination per faculty/staff person.
All nominations will be reviewed by the CCE Grad Office, who will be responsible for ranking them and selecting the recipient.
