Big Ten Academic Alliance Smithsonian Fellowship
Supports doctoral candidates who have completed all requirements except completion of a dissertation and who wish to conduct research at a Smithsonian Institution to further the development of their theses.

Students must have completed all course work for their programs, been admitted into doctoral candidacy, and satisfied all requirements except completion of the dissertation by the time appointment begins

Expected to spend most of the tenure of the fellowship in residence at a Smithsonian institution. Fellowship terms can be 3-12 months
Benefits:

$45,000/year stipend (prorated for terms less than 12 months)
