Hi Everyone! This week, for NSAC | Coffee Hour Special Series, our interviewee is BNC Alumni Professor- Prof. Baratunde Cola. Prof. Cola obtained his PhD from Purdue University in 2008 and is currently an Associate Professor in George W. Woodruff School of Mechanical Engineering and the school of Materials Science and Engineering at Georgia Tech. Prof. Cola is the founder of Carbice Nanotechnologies, a company that sells a leading solution for heat removal in electronic devices. For his work and leading research Prof. Cola has received several prestigious awards including the Presidential Early Career Award for Scientists and Engineers in 2012 by the then President Barack Obama for his work in nanotechnology, energy and outreach to high school art and science teachers and students. Prof. Cola has also received the AAAS Early Career Award for Public Engagement with Science in 2013 and the Bergles-Rohsenow Young Investigator Award in Heat Transfer from the American Society of Mechanical Engineers in 2015.
