FW: Purdue Space Day seeking volunteers
Purdue Space Day is seeking volunteers to help with our one day educational outreach program on November 9, 2019. This year we will have 960 students in grades 3 through 8 participating in space themed STEM activities. We have a variety of positions available including group leaders (interacting with the students throughout the day as you lead them to the various activities) and activity crew (helping to run one of the STEM activities - we will teach you everything you need to know!). All of the position descriptions are available at purduespaceday.com. The perks of volunteering include: meeting Jose Hernandez, an awesome astronaut; a free volunteer t-shirt; breakfast, lunch, and cake with an astronaut on event day; an having an amazing and fulfilling experience teaching young students about the cool things they can do with STEM! We ask that you commit to participating in our Dry Run of the day on Friday, November 1 from 6 pm - 8:30 pm (pizza will be provided) and that you are available the entire day on November 9th (approximately 7 am to 5 pm). Register online at purduespaceday.com or scan the QR code on the attached flyer. Registration has been extended to September 30 so recruit your friends and spend the day together! If you have any questions, please contact us at psd@purdue.edu<mailto:psd@purdue.edu>. Thanks, Purdue Space Day Executive Board
