[Mentoring_at_Purdue] M@P Workshop--TODAY!
Good morning, Mark your calendars and join us TODAY, Wednesday, September 25 at 12pm for the next Mentoring@Purdue workshop: Mentoring Considerations for Graduate Students with Disabilities! This month, Mentoring@Purdue will host Mr. Randall Ward and Mr. Ryan McCombs from the Disability Resource Center to provide an engaging dialogue on how to create intentional mentoring relationships and respectful considerations for mentoring graduate students with disabilities. The NCES reports 8% of graduate students have a disability, defined as a physical, mental, or learning disability that significantly impacts major life activities. Central to graduate school success is a strong mentoring relationship, built on understanding and respect between adviser and student. Join us for an engaging presentation and Q&A with experts from Purdue's Disability Resource Center to learn new tools to foster better mentoring relationships between faculty and graduate students with disabilities. Whether you are a student looking to navigate graduate school or an adviser trying to better support students, we hope you will join us in engaging dialogue and free lunch! If you are unable to attend in person, please join us via webex: https://purdue.webex.com/meet/alexan42<https://purdue.webex.com/meet/alexan42> [cid:0abc882c-9366-4817-bf10-9fa00b1bdc30] On behalf of the entire M@P team, Liz Alexander Department of Agricultural Sciences Education & Communication Purdue University Lilly Hall Rm. 4-401 915 W.
