[Mentoring_at_Purdue] Virtual M@P Webinar Next Wednesday!
Mark your calendars and join us next Wednesday, January 27, at 12:00pm (EST) on Zoom for a virtual Mentoring@Purdue workshop: The Hidden Curriculum: Mentoring BIPOC Graduate Students for Careers in Predominantly White Fields! Graduate students who are Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) face unique challenges such as loneliness, isolation, or microaggressions when entering a workforce that is predominantly White. Therefore, it is increasingly important for mentors to prepare students for these challenges as they plan for their future careers. This workshop will feature strategies and advice from a panel of experts for finding support networks, understanding rights in the workplace, and navigating though these challenges. Please join us for this discussion about mentoring BIPOC graduate students. This free virtual workshop is also open to anyone outside of the Purdue Community.
