I wanted to reach out because 3M is ramping up fall recruiting for PhD students. There are many different positions we’re hiring for that could be of interest to the students at Birck including in the areas of optical materials, electronic materials, surface science, and biological adhesion and mechanics, among others. If you could disperse the attached flier and this key information to the Birck community, it would be very much appreciated! The key details are summarized below.

• There are information sessions specifically for graduate students on Sunday, August 15 at 4 pm ET and Tuesday, August 17^th at 6 pm ET. The meeting links are in the attached flier.
• The deadline to submit resumes for this round of interviews is August 19^th. Interested students can apply at this link: http://go.3m.com/EastRR.
• Interviews will be conducted between August 19^th and the end of the month, if students are selected based on their resume/application.
• Looking for students working in the areas of optical materials, electronic materials, surface science, and biological adhesion and mechanics, and more (see attached flier).

We are always interested in talking to exceptional students, no matter their expertise! If there are students interested in 3M that aren’t nearing graduation, they are more than welcome to attend the information session, and we’re always happy to chat with them about career options at 3M. We do some PhD-level internships as well (though this would be a different application window).
