DESCRIPTION;LANGUAGE=en-US:Hi all\,\nSPIE Student Chapter and NSAC are host
ing an online tutorial talk by Dr. Daniel Louzon from Quantum Machines. Qu
antum Machines is a company that excels in quantum orchestration platforms
which provides both the necessary hardware and the software capabilities
to perform complex quantum algorithms and experiments. Daniel will give us
  a tutorial about the company’s OPX+ Quantum Control System.\nThe talk i
s on Wednesday July 6th (tomorrow) at 11 am. It can be joined using the fo
 llowing link.\nhttps://purdue-edu.zoom.us/j/92778979130\nThe attendants wi
ll be provided with $20 UberEATS Vouchers. The links of the vouchers will
be distributed during the event.\nThe abstract of the talk and the bio of
the speaker is given below.\nTalk Info:\n\nFPGA-Based Quantum Control Hard
ware for Real-Time Adaptive Experiments\n\nState-of-the-art quantum experi
ments with their ever-growing complexity require advanced control systems
capable of smart and versatile control. Additionally\, with Qubits of all
sorts with limited coherence comes the need for complex operations to be p
erformed in extremely short times. In this talk\, I will present Quantum M
achines’ solution to this challenge\, the OPX+. A combined input/output
device constructed specifically as the brain behind the control stack of a
quantum experiment. The OPX+ exploits all the power of an integrated FPGA
processor\, to analyze and adapt your experiment in real time. For exampl
e\, it allows changing your pulse sequence parameters (amplitude\, duratio
 n\, frequency\, etc.)\, mid-experiment\, based on variables measured just
tens of nanoseconds before. Long sequences that are normally pre-generated
and uploaded to an AWG are created by the OPX nanosecond by nanosecond\,
resulting in vast speed-ups for measurement sweeps. I will present some we
ll-known sequences for Qubit control\, and how they are implemented using
the OPX+\, to demonstrate the full power of real-time quantum control.\nBi
o:\nDr. Daniel Louzon completed his BSc and MSc in the Hebrew University i
n Jerusalem in Physics and Chemistry. He recieved his PhD degree from the
Ulm University under the supervision of Prof. Fedor Jelezko and Prof. Alex
Retzker working on “Implementation of control sequences for robust quan
tum sensing with a solid state qubit”. Since September 2021 he has been
working at Quantum Machines as a Quantum Control Solutions Engineer.\n\nHo
 pe to see you\,\nMustafa\n\n
